Dear all, We are pleased to announce the online Physalia course Species Distribution and Ecological Niche Modelling in R, taking place from 14–18 September. Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course45/ This course will provide both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of species distribution models (SDM) and ecological niche models (ENM), with a strong focus on reproducible and automated workflows in R. Participants will learn how to design, build, validate, and apply SDM and ENM using real species occurrence data. The course is aimed at students, researchers, and practitioners interested in biodiversity, ecology, conservation, and spatial modelling. Previous basic experience with R is desirable (https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/messy-data/) . By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Understand the key concepts behind SDM and ENM Build and evaluate models in R Assess the strengths and limitations of different modelling approaches Predict and project species distributions across space and time For the full list of our courses and workshops, please visit: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/ We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity within your networks.
