Dear all, We are pleased to announce the 10th edition of the online course "Species Distribution and Ecological Niche Modelling in R", taking place from 14–18 September. For more information and registration, please visit: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course45/ During this hands-on course, participants will learn the theory and practice of Species Distribution Models (SDMs) and Ecological Niche Models (ENMs), from fundamental concepts to real-world applications. Using reproducible workflows in R, participants will build, validate, and apply models based on species occurrence data of their choice. Topics include: • Fundamental concepts and theory behind SDMs and ENMs • Data preparation and model building in R • Model evaluation and validation • Understanding model assumptions, strengths, and limitations • Predicting and projecting species distributions across space and time • Best practices for reproducible ecological modelling Previous experience with R is recommended, although all scripts will be provided and explained in detail.
