We are pleased to announce the 10th edition of the online course "Species Distribution and Ecological Niche Modelling in R", taking place from 14–18 September.

During this hands-on course, participants will learn the theory and practice of Species Distribution Models (SDMs) and Ecological Niche Models (ENMs), from fundamental concepts to real-world applications. Using reproducible workflows in R, participants will build, validate, and apply models based on species occurrence data of their choice.
 
Topics include:

• Fundamental concepts and theory behind SDMs and ENMs
• Data preparation and model building in R
• Model evaluation and validation
• Understanding model assumptions, strengths, and limitations
• Predicting and projecting species distributions across space and time
• Best practices for reproducible ecological modelling
 
Previous experience with R is recommended, although all scripts will be provided and explained in detail.
