Join us for a five-day online course exploring the genomic and transcriptomic signatures of sex chromosome evolution, from identifying sex chromosomes to investigating recombination suppression, evolutionary strata, gene gain and loss, sex-biased expression, and dosage compensation.

The course combines short lectures with hands-on computational exercises, using real genomic and transcriptomic data. Participants will work through practical approaches to detect sex chromosomes, analyse their molecular evolution, and interpret patterns of divergence across species.
The course is aimed at graduate students and researchers with a background in evolutionary biology, genetics, genomics, or bioinformatics.
