Geographic data can clarify how environmental patterns relate to biological variation. Advanced QGIS: Spatial Analysis led by Nick Bearman (University College London and Geospatial Training Solutions) is now available as an on-demand streaming seminar. Spatial overlays, point-based access analysis, spatial joins, and metric creation support investigation of geographic patterns in evolutionary and ecological data. Researchers can integrate coordinates, postal data, and other GIS sources to examine distributions, habitats, and spatial relationships relevant to their questions. Critical interpretation of spatial data methods helps align analytical choices with the limits of available evidence.
