Postdoctoral Associate in Evolutionary Genomics (term, remote) Contractual term postdoc to work remotely on whole genome analyses of repeatability of evolution and coevolution in Tasmanian devils and their transmissible cancer, devil facial tumor disease. The successful candidate will be employed by Washington State University and can capitalize on a massive dataset that includes hundreds of whole genomes, transcriptomic and genome-wide SNP capture panels, which are complemented with 25 years of mark-recapture and ecological data in this extremely well-studied natural system. Required are a PhD in Biology, Bioinformatics or related field with very strong bioinformatics, computational skills and an emphasis on evolutionary biology/ genomics. Peer-reviewed publications demonstrating this expertise are also required. Preferred: some postdoctoral experience. Start date: October/November, 2026 (specific date negotiable). Position term: up to 6 months with possible extension depending on funding. Salary: competitive based on experience. Benefits ineligible.
