Dear Colleagues, The Goodheart Lab in the Division of Invertebrate Zoology at the American Museum of Natural History is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow (three-year term) to perform comparative genomic, transcriptomic, and functional analyses and experiments with mollusks on a Human Frontiers Science Program grant in collaboration with Dr. Victoria Sleight at the University of Aberdeen and Dr. Manabu Bessho-Uehara at Tohoku University. The overall aim of the grant is to understand the role of gene family expansions in the evolution of novel complex traits in mollusks, and the role of the Postdoctoral Fellow will be to investigate the molecular evolution and diversification of molluscan pattern recognition receptors and perform functional experiments with the nudibranch species Berghia stephanieae. Applicants may apply at https://careers.amnh.org/postings/4920/. First review will be Nov 10th, 2026. We are looking for someone to start before April 2027. Best, Jessica -- Dr. Jessica Goodheart (she/her) Assistant Curator, Invertebrate Zoology Assistant Professor, Richard Gilder Graduate School American Museum of Natural History (to subscribe/unsubscribe the EvolDir send mail to evoldir@evoldir.net)
