Postdoc: phenotypic characterization of Drosophila populations evolved in a novel temperature environment Our laboratory runs more than 15 replicated experimental evolution studies across three Drosophila species, spanning more than 400 generations of adaptation. The successful candidate will work alongside two part-time technicians to characterize the phenotypic response of the evolved populations, taking a leading role in selecting which phenotypes to investigate — potentially including molecular phenotypes such as RNA-Seq, scRNA-Seq, metabolomics etc. Genomic time-series data for these populations will also be available. The position starts on 1.10.26, though a later start date is negotiable, and is funded for up to two years (if starting 1.10.). Successful candidates will have the opportunity to take over flies and data of the ongoing evolution experiments — an excellent springboard toward an independent position.
