M.S. Student Opportunity in Ecological Genomics and Evolutionary Ecology
We are seeking a motivated M.S. student to join our research in ecological genomics and evolutionary ecology using Daphnia as a model organism in the Department of Biological Sciences at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), starting in Spring, 2027.
Potential research projects include the evolution and genomics of salinity tolerance and the effects of dietary and biochemical interventions on longevity, with opportunities to develop related projects based on the student’s interests.
Our department has several active research labs and provides excellent opportunities for collaboration and training across evolutionary biology, ecology, genetics, and genomics. ETSU is located in Johnson City, Tennessee, in a beautiful region surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains, lakes, and extensive natural areas.
