The next conference organized by the Society for Open, Reliable and Transparent Science in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology (SORTEE)  will take place virtually on 13-14 October 2026. We are thrilled to announce that the full program is now available online through the SORTEE Shiny app at https://conf-sortee.shinyapps.io/2026-program-app.

We have two fantastic plenary talks lined up:
- Dr. Lauren Cadwallader: "Code Sharing in Practice: Lessons from Expanding a Publisher’s Policy"
- Dr. Tatsuya Amano: "Is science open across languages?"

The program also features Workshops on GitHub workflows, test-driven development, and Docker; Unconferences exploring FAIR data, preregistration, and open scholarship; and Hackathons focusing on data and code transparency, research contributions, and equity. Come ready to learn, connect, and participate as much as you would like!
