Please join us for the 53rd annual Southeastern Population Ecology and Evolutionary Genetics (SEPEEG) meeting, hosted by Auburn University at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana, Alabama (https://alabama4hcenter.org/). First organized in 1973 as SEEGG (the Southeastern Ecological Genetics Group), SEPEEG is a single-session meeting that brings together students, postdocs, and faculty from across the Southeast for formal and informal discussion of research on ecology, population biology, evolution, and genetics. Venue: Alabama 4-H Center, Columbiana, AL Dates: October 23-25, 2026 Cost: $225 for standard dorm housing (includes meals) Website: https://webhome.auburn.edu/~lss0021/sepeeg26/ Registration is now open via the Auburn University TouchNet portal (link on website). There are also a limited number of on-site hotel accommodations, but they may fill quickly -- we encourage early registration if a hotel room is a priority. Talk and poster abstract submission deadline: August 1, 2026. The submission form is linked on the conference website. This deadline may be extended until we reach capacity. Student travel awards are in development; trainees should indicate their interest in travel awards when registering for a research presentation. We will contact registered participants individually to let them know if they have been selected! Priority will be given to trainees who register early and who plan to present their research at the conference. Registration deadline: September 1, 2026. Please forward this message to potentially interested colleagues, students, and lab groups. Questions can be directed to the Laurie Stevison (lss0021@auburn.edu). See y'all in Alabama! Best, Laurie and the SEPEEG ’26 Team (to subscribe/unsubscribe the EvolDir send mail to evoldir@evoldir.net)
